My name is Francesco Sarracino. I live in Luxembourg and use photographs to tell stories of people, places and adventures. There is no single photographic genre that defines my work; I focus on capturing the world around me, and to seek out its uniqueness.
I believe that there should be no restrictions when it comes to style, topic or technique, and that conveying feelings and experiences through images is the ultimate goal of photography.
I draw inspiration from photographers such as Dorothea Lange, Saul Leiter, Martin Parr, Luis Stettner, Sebastiao Salgado, Chris Niedenthal and Steve McCurry. These photographers have all had a profound impact on the way I approach my own work, my compositions, the choice of subjects, and the use of color and black and white.
